When you are a company or brand, you must put a lot of thought into the content you post on social networks - it has to be very strategic.
And to be honest, you must do a ton of research BEFORE you even start drafting the first posts (more details on this in a future post).
But, to help you, I'll share a few tips on what you have to consider when choosing what to post on social media. Starting with:
📌 Only post content that makes sense to your audience - the people you're trying to reach.
Example of a wrong strategy: Let's say you're a designer, and your potential clients are companies. You post something like: "Don't you hate when Photoshop crashes in the middle of a project?"
You see the problem there? Your audience won't relate to that. Although you're probably going to get a lot of engagement from fellow designers, those are not your potential clients.
If you're wondering if that's a bad thing, consider the following scenario: You're in a business meeting with a potential client (a CEO that needs your services)...
All of a sudden, you say something like that to him. What would be the CEO's answer? Probably: "I wouldn't know. I don't use Photoshop."
So, next time you're choosing what to post on your social media, keep that in mind.
